1 Cor 10:12-13 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. As the children of God, he knows our hearts and he knows the very thought of those hearts. He knows if we long for sin and its pleasures and he will bring you through the fires of God and you will be tempted by the weaknesses of your heart until you have thoroughly had a full belly of it and are willing to get ride of it for good. James 1:12-18 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. If we love the Lord, we will repent and endure the temptations we bring upon ourselves. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. It is because of our own evil concupiscence we are tempted, deep within, we desire the sin and the pleasures it brings. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. Don’t think you can desire sinful pleasures and not be enticed by them and sin before God. Every good and perfect gift is from God, but he will not be partaker of your evil concupiscence’s and your lust of the flesh. There is no compromising with him. Not even a slight turning toward it. We must conform to his image and allow him to chisel away until we get to be the first fruits of his creatures. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Rev 3:10-12 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Those who allow God to work within their hearts and transform them into the fruits of righteousness and let the word of God do its job within them will be made into pillars of the Church, Markers of the temple of God, and will have a new name written within them. A pillar cannot have any flaws within it or it will give under the load of the structure bearing down upon it. All air bubbles and cracks must be worked out of the concrete before it is allowed to harden, we must be worked the same by the Spirit.
