“PRISON” : A NATION RIGHT IN YOUR BACK YARD! GREETINGS; to the Brethren and Sisters of the inheritance of the faith that is in Christ Jesus the Lord and Head of The Church, The Body of Christ.
I was honored to be a part of another mile stone in the History of “The Church of God Prison Ministry Team of Florida and Georgia”.
When we go into another Nation and establish The Church of God we raise a Church of God flag in their honor and praise God for the great things he has done. But it is as important a matter to establish the Church of God in the Prisons of America as it is in other Nations. Because these men and woman are of value to God as you and I are. They are like a Separate Nation in themselves. Isolated barren and cut off from the outside world of civilization and need someone to carry the gospel inside the boundaries of their country and to preach the Church of God Doctrines. Thus establishing “The Church of God” in a Nation of mankind who are starving for the pleasure of the free to worship God in Spirit and in truth under the Banner of truth. They are isolated from the freedoms as we know them to go to church and hear the gospel of salvation and be turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. As Jesus was fixing to depart unto Heaven he said, “Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Church of God was commissioned to “Go Ye into all the world”
Not just Nations, But the world over. Sure! It’s a glorious thing to establish The Church of God in another Nation, But 1.9 million inmates need to be reached to cover “The Whole World” with the Gospel as commissioned by our Lord. We must not fall short of our goal and reach for the Big Catch, But there’s some good fishing in the ponds around the house as well as out at sea. Some of the best fishing is in the rivers and creeks outback. Sure! It’s not as exciting as going way out into the ocean to fish for the big catches. But the harvest is all the same, and is white for the picking but the laborers are few. It will be a crown of life to the ones who dare to work the small ponds and reach the unreachable ones, and to love the unlovable ones and to save those the world gave up as too bad to save, but except for the Grace of God there go I and you who were bought with the Blood of the Son of God. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Amen!
On Sunday September 23rd, A group of woman and myself, went for the first time into a Youth Detention Camp in Macon Georgia and raised the flag of The Church of God in proclaiming the Truth and Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The attendance was 35 to 40 young teenage girls who needed to hear that someone cares and that there are people out there that will take the time out of their busy lives and come and teach all things that our Lord commanded us to do as The Body of Christ. More important, it was our duty to do what Jesus told us to do in reaching the Lost Humanity with the Love of God. In Matt 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
We went and ministered unto our Lord through the Love of the Gospel and gave back what He gave us, an unselfish Love and eternal life to those who believed. My heart melted within me as several young girls came up to the alter crying and wanted to get saved. It was amazing to me that the people were told so much False Doctrines and Vain beliefs. Not knowing what is sinful and what is right. I prayed for four girls and others prayed for some and out of about 13 who came forth, 8 professed that they got saved that day.
OH! Raise the Banners and Sound the Trumpets! For the Kingdom of Heaven is come unto a place desolate of truth, dark with false doctrines and hidden away from The Body of Christ for years. But there are a few unselfish children of our Lord who gave up the pleasures of life for a season to carry the cross and proclaim the Peace that is in Christ and to establish the truth within the walls of a Nation, Right in our back yard.
Every third Saturday we will go into this camp and teach all things and lead the blind unto sight of the light of God.
I want to say a special “THANK YOU” to all that went with us, because your labor is not in vain. (Matt 25:34, 38-40) Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.How many people right at your back door are hungry, thirsty, strangers moved in, naked children playing up the street, sick folk who need a neighbor, in prison right down the road from your home or Church and no one seems to care enough to enquire. How can I get inside to teach them the truth and establish The Church of God?
The biggest Foreign Missions Field is the State and County Prisons in your town.
