transgression of the woman, should not the spouse forgive the sin of the other as Christ forgave us our sins? How can we say we love God, whom we can’t see, and hate our own spouse who we are one flesh with? Read in Matthew chapter 5:38-42, …it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, But I say unto you, “That ye resist not evil”…turn the other cheek is all about forgiveness, Amen? Chapter 6:8-15; says if we forgive men their trespasses, your Father will forgive you, yours. But if you will not forgive, neither will God forgive you of your trespasses. How much more should we forgive our spouses who God hath joined together as one flesh with us? He who is without sin in their life, let them first cast the stone at their spouse, But if you put her away, Paul said, ”1 Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, “or” be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
(Mark 10:12) And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
Luke 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. ( Whosoever, includes sinner and saint alike)
Matthew 5:31-32 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Mark 10:11-12 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.(against his wife) 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. (against her husband)
Either way they turn they will commit adultery against one another. If we will look honestly at the scriptures we will see that when a man puts away his wife, He always causes her to commit adultery against him. And when she marries another man she committeth adultery. If the law of God will allow Divorce, then why is she pronounced as an Adulteress and committing adultery against her husband, and not a Fornicator?
(Which is unlawful sex between two people) Because by the law of God she can not be cut loose from the law of her husband even if divorced by the law of man, until one of them is dead to free them from the law of God. (Romans 7:2,3) So, She or He will be committing adultery if they are married again. Never will the scriptures condemn a married spouse of committing fornication.
So, What does the scripture mean by the “Except it be for fornication clause”?
